Author’s Biography – Juan Smith
Juan Smith is the pseudonym of a patient of Dr. Nowzaradan.
After reaching over 600-lb at the age of 33, Juan made the decision that saved his life. Juan underwent surgery years ago, and he followed the Dr. Now diet closely both before and after the operation. So, within a few weeks, he reached a weight of 175-lb, which he has since maintained to this day.
“Our house has become my prison, and soon it will also be my coffin,” he often repeated to his mother and father, who stood by him and supported him.
To pay tribute to Dr. Nowzaradan, Juan decided to write a series of books on the “Now Diet” to make other people in the situation he was in feel motivated to take the path that led him to a new life.
